In most countries, coming-of-age ceremony is significant. It is a universal ritual for the recognition of young grown-up's ability and qualifications to enter society. It is a ubiquitous cultural phenomenon. A grand ceremony is usually held in adulthood.

For Mexican girls, there are two days in their lives that will become "princesses", one is their wedding, and the other is their 15th birthday, which is actually a Mexican girl's coming-of-age ceremony.

In Mexico, a 15-year-old girl means a girl matures, so most Mexican families have a birthday party at the age of 15 if they have daughters, aiming to share this happy event with outsiders.

The 15th birthday was the most memorable day in the lives of Mexican girls. To Commemorate and celebrate this beautiful day, the girl's parents and relatives usually start to prepare in advance for several years. The "coming-of-age" ceremony was as grand as a wedding, and everyone must be dressed in formal attire. There is a wonderful dancing party after the ceremony.
