About Ecuador's tariff reduction and exemption policy
As global trade continues to deepen, the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between China and Ecuador has provided unprecedented opportunities for companies in both countries. Sinbosen, as an audio equipment supplier with more than 10 years of professional experience, actively responded to this policy and provided Ecuadorian customers with certificate of origin processing services to help customers enjoy tariff reductions.
The Ecuadorian customs clearance certificate of origin is part of the free trade agreement between China and Ecuador and will officially take effect on May 1, 2024. According to the China-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement, goods exported to Ecuador can enjoy tariff reductions with the certificate of origin under the China-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement.
Enterprises applying for certificates of origin include shippers of exported goods and their agents, domestic manufacturers and their agents. Export goods need to meet certain conditions, such as goods that are completely obtained or produced in China, goods produced in China using only materials originating from China or Ecuador, and goods produced in China using non-origin materials but complying with specific rules.
The calculation formula of regional value component is: Regional value component = (FOB price - non-origin material price) ÷ FOB price × 100%. Enterprises should apply for the China-Ecuador Free Trade Agreement Certificate of Origin before or at the time of shipment. If it is not issued in time due to reasonable reasons, it can be reissued within one year from the date of shipment.
The application process includes logging in to the China International Trade "Single Window" or the "Internet + Customs" integrated online service platform to declare. The certificate of origin can be printed by yourself. If the certificate is lost or damaged, you can apply for the issuance of an approved copy of the certificate of origin, which has the same validity period as the original certificate.
In addition, the tariff concessions of exported goods in Ecuador can be queried by logging in to the "China Free Trade Zone Service Network". If there is a third party or intermediary in the trade, the applicant should check "Third-party invoice/non-party company" on the declaration page and fill in the relevant information.
The certificate of origin processing service provided by Sinbosen enables Ecuadorian customers to enjoy this preferential policy when clearing customs. According to regulations, the cost of a certificate of origin is RMB 100 per copy, which is negligible compared to the reduced tariffs. The application process is simple and fast. Sinbosen only needs to provide electronic invoices, packing lists and bills of lading to complete the issuance of the certificate of origin within one working day.
Sinbosen's professional audio equipment, combined with the preferential policies of the China-Ecuador FTA, has brought unprecedented tariff reduction advantages to Ecuadorian customers. Sinbosen looks forward to working with more Ecuadorian customers to jointly explore broader market prospects.
