What is a Class D Power Amplifier?
The output transistor stage of a Class D power amplifier operates as an electronic switch and does not have linear gain like other amplifiers. Class D power amplifiers start working by receiving an incoming analog input signal and generating PWM or PDM. It then converts the input signal into a stream of pulses. Therefore, it can be said that a typical Class D amplifier consists of two output MOSFETs, a pulse width modulator and an external low-pass filter to restore the amplified audio.
Why upgrade materials?
Sinbosen D series digital power amplifiers have been welcomed by customers who need audio since their launch because they are 2 ohm stable and 1U compact and convenient. After purchasing the D series amplifier, many customers expressed satisfaction with its sound and power, and the use results are also excellent. However, due to its high temperature and the fan rotating too fast, some customers think the noise is a bit loud. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, Sinbosen used a new material---gallium nitride in the power amplifier.
What is gallium nitride?
Gallium nitride is an important semiconductor material with a wide range of applications. It has great potential in the fields of electronics, optoelectronics and optical devices. Because gallium nitride has excellent electronic and optical properties, such as high carrier mobility, wide energy gap, and high electron saturation drift velocity, it is widely used in the manufacture of high-frequency electronic devices, optoelectronic devices, and high-power semiconductor devices.

Advantages of Gallium Nitride
The output energy density of gallium nitride materials is higher, and the working environment temperature is also higher. Higher output impedance, high output impedance can make the impedance matching and power combination of GaN devices easier, which can cover a wider frequency range and improve the applicability of RF power amplifier devices.
The D series digital power amplifier uses the extremely low switching loss of gallium nitride devices in the zero-voltage switching (ZVS) state to improve the overall system efficiency at low output power. The operation is more stable below 2Ω. In addition, a new gallium nitride material is used on the amplifier board. The temperature is lower when working for a long time, the fan rotates less, and the power amplifier is quieter.
